Seek and Soak events are part of the natural outgrowth of Worship and the Word Movement, a ministry which emphasizes worship, the necessity of the Word of God in our lives and expectancy towards Jesus as a pathway into the life-changing, reviving presence of Father God. In partnership with Get the Word Out, a teaching ministry focused on the truth and credibility of the Bible and how to know Jesus, who is the living Word.

Get the Word Out! Mary Jean Powers is called by God to come alongside pastors and missionaries as a Bible Teacher in the nations of the world. Ordained as a teacher through Inspire International Network of Ministers, Mary Jean has ministered on 5 continents and in 25 countries. She is the founder and President of Get the Word Out!

Mary Jean, who is from Colorado where she lives near her 2 married sons and 4 grandchildren, has 36 years of teaching experience, both privately and in the classroom, in Christian schools, churches and para-church organizations. As a musician, she has served local churches as a staff member in training worship teams, directing choirs, arranging, composing and conducting church music. She is active in her local Foursquare Church.

Each Get the Word Out! Intensive includes teaching on the Truth and Credibility of the Word, the Authority of the Word, the Word as Logos and Rhema, and Jesus, who is the Living Word.

Worship and the Word Movement was founded by Dave and Tara Powers in 2006. Dave is a volunteer worship Pastor at Northern Hills in Brighton, Colorado.

Worship and the Word Movement's mission statement is a prayer:
Father, we want to do what You are doing. We want to live out the Greatest Commandments and help fulfill the Great Commission! (John. 12:34, Matt 22:37-40, Matt. 28: 18-20, Luke 16:15-18, Acts 1:4-8). We want to see people encounter Your presence; we want to see revival; we want to see people receive revelation from Your Word; all to bring the Name of Jesus glory. Begin in us Father! Move in our families, cities, states, regions, countries, and the nations of the earth! AMEN!!

In addition to their commitment to other projects including The Tent-Denver, Heaven Fest, Get the Word Out! Intensives and Home of Refuge, WWM travels to churches around the country and internationally to lead worship, equip worshipers and to teach the Word of God.
